FRACTALS

2016

Materials: Color Filter Sheets, Jump Rings, Fishing Line, Scotch Tape

Fractals was a way for me to test the ways in which I could create artwork for the community. The piece, held together with fishing wire, is constructed to invite interaction. It shifts with every breeze or touch, casting light in different sizes, directions, and color combinations. With the popularity of cell phone flashlights, it is easy for viewers to take the piece into their own hands and personalize its appearance. This serves as both a finished piece and the blueprint for sturdier, larger scale projects that are able to  hold up outside.
